Conker and Berri - 12 Tales Redesigns

I always did prefer Conker’s redder, pointy-eared Diddy Kong Racing design, plus if he’s a red squirrel his ears ought to be a bit longer and frazzled at the ends. As for Berri’s chipmunkification… I just thought she’d look smart in stripes. xD

Y’know, I would’ve preferred it if Rare went ahead and completed Conker’s Twelve Tales in all its cutesy wootsyness rather than Bad Fur Day. A lot of gamers may disagree with me and say stuff like “Twelve Tales would’ve been a Banjo Kazooie clone” or “Bad Fur Day was a novel gaming experience,” but I loved Banjo Kazooie and there’s not really anything novel about cute furry creatures using profanity.

Sure, I guess up until BFD we’d never seen it in a game before, but it’s not a new concept by any means. We've seen it done to death in other media outlets. Plus the level designs don’t have Banjo Kazooie’s polished look and half the time controlling Conker feels like guiding an antique vase around the screen since you take falling damage if he so much as stumbles over a wet newspaper. I’ve never really seen the appeal in that game.

… But sometimes I still play it since I know running around as a drunken orange squirrel with a short lived tailhover move is the closest I’m ever going to get to playing a 3D Miles Prower game.
