You know as well as I do that kids' shows don't do romance. xD

They're bitter morbidly afraid of couples, hand-holding, seaweed, and other thing's that are scary!

But it's fine, Bishounen Bear'll clear all that up. Remember what Hollywood was like before censorship came along?

But, good god, they've been around for- what? Years? Decades? An entire century, mayhaps? Care Bears must have incredible longevity, either that or they age really gracefully.

If you ever watched the Care Bears Nutcracker Suite, you'll probably remember a little girl named Anna and how, at the very end of the special, it's actually revealed that the grown woman spinning her epic tale to these kiddies at a theater just happened to be Anna herself.

Pan up to a shot of some Care Bears, along with Hugs and Tugs (STILL in diapers) frolicking about on the catwalk xD

Happened in the first movie too, remember? And not only was Nicholas and adult, he was so old he was back in pampers. Some great magician he turned out to be, huh?

Yessiree, those little buggers are practically immortal. It's only a matter of time before those two purchase one way tickets to the Isle de L'amour, and when they do, True Heart will thank her lucky stars that she chose a horse. Those guys don't do anything small and-

In all seriousness, time is all topsy-turvy in the Care Bears world. In the second Care Bears film, all the cubs become adults in a matter of days. So I guess the lesson learned is this... continuity doesn't matter in the Care Bears franchise, just like points in Whose Line Is It Anyway?, or a sensible diet plan to Drew Carey. Time flows- or stops- according to the whim of the writing staff.

D'aaawwwww! One of my favorite couples! Anything with them is really sweet.

I heard an interesting theory once that the first generation Care Bears aged more rapidly than Hugs and Tugs because they were needed more urgently.

Still doesn't explain how True Heart/Noble Heart split up and still somehow manadged to take care of the cubs whilst fending off the forces of uncaring.

I mean, she goes to Care-a-lot, he heads off for the Forest of feelings, and what? What happens when there's a caring mission? Do they just hop in a cloud car and leave a bunch of cubs there, like sitting ducks for Dark Heart? xD

I've always just liked to assume any of the following;

A. They grew up quickly because one bear and a purple horse is diddly squat compared to the Earth's whopping six-billion inhabitants. The Great Wishing Star helped the little tykes along a bit.

B. Hugs and Tugs are an exception. Their only real caring mission being to sit down and listen to Grams Bear's rubbish-er, stories so that the young viewers of the cartoon get to see their favorite characters in completely un-Care-a-lot related situations (Lol, Care Trek)

C. GAH! You lazy story writers!!

D. How exactly did the Care Bears come to be cuddly, multi-coloured, anthropomorphic animals? Frankly no one gives a damn. xD

But if they did, I'd suggest this;

The Care Bears weren't born as the fuzzy, furry, anthropomorphic little ursines we all know and love today. Their folks would've eaten them.

They got to the point where they were cubs, and BLAM- transformed magically into Care Cubs via Great Wishing Star, shortly afterwards, the founders would pick them up, hijack a ship and- ah, you know the rest.

Now the neat part; mayhaps Hugs and Tugs weren't adopted like the 1rst generation bears. Baby Tugs did once mention that he was a "Full-fledged, genuine, 100% Care Bear"

Suppose unnamed bear A. got together with unnamed horse B. and swapped genomes? I dunno' Frisky, the four of them sure do seem to hang around together alot in the traditional watercolour pictures. ;3

They're such a sweet couple.
