A Dic style representation of the original founders of Care-a-lot, True Heart Bear and Noble Heart Horse in all their opalescent splendour.

I even found a backcard story (which clearly appears to predate the second movie) to go along with it!

Did you ever wonder where the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins came from? Their story began with two very special friends - True Heart Bear and Noble Heart Horse, who lived in the Kingdom of Caring. From there, they watched over all the people on Earth.

One day, True Heart and Noble Heart brought to the Kingdom of Caring some orphaned baby animals. They took care of these animals, the Care Bear Cubs and the Care Bear Cousin Cubs, and taught them the importance of sharing feelings and putting these feelings into action.

When the cubs learned these lessons, they were given special tummy symbols and grew up to be the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins.
